Tennyson and Conan along The Freedom Trail in Boston's North End. We loved this part of Boston. Notice the old cobblestone streets. The Freedom Trail begins in Boston Common's and ends at the site of the U.S.S. Constitution (Old Ironsides)--the country's first naval ship. The trail is about 2.5 miles long and is a red line of brick that can be seen near Conan's feet. It's actually fun following the trail...much like I guess it would feel following the Yellow Brick Road. On the other hand, the trail didn't end at the Emerald City. Instead, we were left with aching feet and legs! Following The Freedom Trail was my favorite part of the trip.
