Camping at Camp Massasoit

Conan took the boys camping last weekend to Camp Massasoit in Plymouth, MA.  It is a Boy Scout owned campground about 45 minutes south of here near the Cape. The camping trip was organized and sponsored by Tennyson's Cub Scout leaders.  It was completely free and all meals were provided! Can't beat that!
The boys headed down Saturday afternoon just in time for lunch.

After lunch, the boys learned how to make their own mini-fire in a pie tin.

Next was a hike around the lake.

Tennyson with his Cub Scout troop (some siblings are mixed in there too!)
(Tennyson is in the red shirt and Asher is the 6th one in from the left in a black jacket.)

Marshmallow roasting time!

Tennyson by the campfire.
The troop reserved two HEATED cabins that slept about 16 people in each.  Conan was very grateful the cabins were heated given that the outside temperature dropped down into the 20's during the night.
Edie-Girl and I stayed home in our nice cozy warm beds.

Asher by the fire (Tennyson in the background).
The next morning, everyone woke up, ate breakfast, packed up the cars, and headed home.  The boys had a wonderful time.  I am so glad Tenn and Ash were finally able to have some one-on-one time outdoors with Conan.  I keep telling myself, "Summer is on its way...summer is on its way...summer is on its way!"

So cute. Looks like the boys were in heaven and it sounds like you and Edie got a pretty good deal too- a girls night in.

On a totally un-related note- you asked what nicknames Hazel has. We call her Hazie, Hazelnut, Hazie the Hippo and Sage calls her Hazie Hazie Raptail. Don't ask me why....
