Summer Family Vacation Part 1: Home to California!

On July 15th, I braved a 5.5 hour flight on my own with the three kiddos to California! We spent 9 awesome fun-filled days in California, two weeks in Vegas and one week in Zion (more about that later)!  Conan wasn't able to meet up with us until three weeks later when we headed to Zion.  I must have been pretty stressed about the flight with the kiddos since the morning of the flight I woke up with not one, not two, but THREE cold sores on my mouth!!  I had visions of the boys fighting with each other, visions of soda being spilled everywhere, visions of Eden screaming because she wanted to run around the airplane, etc.  All those worries were for naught.  Tenn, Ash and Eden were the best little travelers! Tenn was so helpful with Asher, and Miss Eden was a breeze to take care of on the flight.
Thank goodness the boys had their own TV monitors on the flight! They probably watched 4 hours of straight cartoons and killed thousands of brain cells doing it, but you know what? IT WAS SO WORTH IT! Gotta love JetBlue!

Our trip home to California was a fun and busy one! We...
Eden with her Grandma Walker
spent a couple days at my mom's house in Calimesa.  While there, we drove up the mountains and spent a morning at the Big Bear Alpine Zoo.

Grandma let the kiddos choose any toy they wanted from the zoo gift shop.  Tennyson chose a stuffed skunk while Asher and Eden each chose a stuffed snake.  I LOVE Eden's expression in this picture.  She made that expression on her own.  Makes me laugh every time I look at it!

We went swimming, went to the toy store, played with Grandma's cat, and enjoyed a nice family dinner with the rest of the family.  Thanks Mom for a great time!

Back in the South Bay, we went to the beach A LOT with the kids!

My sisters, Shelby and Katie, buried Tennyson. He loved that!

Edie-Bug!

Tennyson, Asher and Eden helped their Grandpa Parke plant flowers one morning.

We hit the beach again. My Uncle Paul took Tennyson body-boarding for the first time!

He loved it!

My little Asher (really, he's not so little anymore!)

Eden with her Great-Aunt Roni

Beach Babies--Eden and Macklin!
My Aunt Patty, Cousin Heather, and her son, Macklin, drove four hours down from Paso Robles to spend a couple days with us.  It was so much fun playing with them.

Asher gave body-boarding a try, and wasn't quite as enthusiastic about it as Tennyson was!

L to R: My sisters, Katie and Shelby, Knox (my cousin Chanel's little guy), and my cousin, Carly.

A trip home wouldn't be complete without breakfast one morning at The Marmalade Cafe. Six out of the eleven Stillians cousins are pictured here, along with our little ones. L to R: Carly, Heather, Macklin, Eden, Sierra (me), Asher, Chanel, Baby Knox, Shelby, Bohden and Tennyson.

My dad took the kids to Pollywog Park one day.  This was one of my favorite places to play when I was a little girl.

Tennyson enjoyed sorting through Grandma Parke's button collection with Aunt Kelsey and Grandma Parke.

Before we left L.A., Grandma and Grandpa Parke treated us to a day of fun at Knott's Berry Farm.

My dear friend, Romina, with two of her girls--Tehani and Giuliana
Some of our best friends from home met us at Knott's for the day too.  We loved spending the day with them!
Grandpa Parke was a good sport and went on this ride several times with Ash!

The kids won these stuffed animals at Knotts!

We had such a wonderful time in L.A. We loved visiting with family and our close friends. Our next stop on our vacation--VEGAS!
