Nine months ago Tennyson began preschool for the first time. Although a little nervous, he handled the transition pretty well, I on the other hand got a wee bit teary eyed saying goodbye to him on the first day!

Nine months later, Tennyson has "graduated" from preschool and once more I was a wee bit teary eyed! Why do I get so emotional at these kinds of things??? I know...not a big surprise...we all expected him to "graduate" from preschool, but it is still something to be proud of. It has been fun seeing him come out of his shell since beginning preschool. He has learned how to write his name by himself and loves playing with other children his own age.

The graduate!

He had the biggest smile on his face during the ceremony and really hammed-it-up for the camera.

Receiving his diploma (I'm bummed this came out blurry).

After awhile Tennyson got tired of all the pictures,

but then he got his second wind and I was able to take this adorable picture of him with his teacher, Miss Stephanie, and

this one with Mrs. Rose, the teacher's assistant.

Tennyson with his friend, Jocey. We have known Jocey and her family since moving to Philly. They go to the same church as us.

Proud "mommy-moment".

Then, after graduation, Tennyson and his friend Jocey got to go to Old McDonalds (as Tennyson likes to call it). For months Tennyson has wanted to play at this McDonalds playland. I was able to put it off during winter for obvious reasons, but now that it has warmed up, I had to bite the bullet and let him play on this germ infested play equipment!!! He had such fun climbing through the tunnels and climbing to the top of the castle. Then we headed inside for the much anticipated Happy Meal!
We love you Tennyson!

Cute. What a big boy!!
Congrats Tennyson! Glad we could 'celebrate' with peas and breadsticks last night.
Aaaahh, congrats Tennyson and mom! What a big day. Gavin starts preschool in September and I think I will be a 'cryer' too! And Sierra I have to say you just keep getting prettier with age!
Way to go Tennyson! He's obviously very proud of himself too. :) What a great accomplishment!
Look how he's grown this year! From the looks of the Faith Lutheran sign he's grown like 6 inches or more? You got some cute pictures. We had fun at Old Macdonalds and now since we pass it multiple times a day, Jocey always is SO excited- "(Gasp!) That's where I went with Tennyson!"
Congratulations to you and Tennyson! It's been fun reading about your family on your blog!
