We had a pretty low-key 4th of July this year which was pretty relaxing. We had some friends over for a BBQ and then headed off for a much anticipated fireworks show that was cancelled at the last minute!!! We drove all the way to the venue only to find an empty parking lot! So, we drove home and busted out the leftover sparklers from last year. Tennyson and Asher loved them. Tennyson was cautious at first since he still has a pretty vivid memory of the nice burn he received from a sparkler last year, but soon he was waving that thing all over the place! Asher wasn't shy with the sparklers at all. In fact, I made him sit on my lap and held his hands as he waved his sparkler in the air. He came close to lighting my hair on fire a couple of times!

Of course Asher loved the sparklers. I'm surprised Tennyson has such a good memory at a young age.
We miss all of you. I was thinking recently about how fun Tennyson is and how well he played with Sage, even though she was little.
